This work continues to investigate the Marvelous Reality, Butoh and contemporary dance in a multidisciplinary performance that intertwines poetry, music, film, photography, lighting and dance.
Umbral explores themes that reflect our social, political and spiritual values today. It is a commentary on the reality of war, destruction and violence in the world caused by greed in the pursuit of power. Have we entered a new age of darkness where our privilege disguises corruption, war and crime?
