ELLA was created in response to Katherine Soucie’s textile installation entitled a(MEND) which explores themes of repair and recovery using waste hosiery. ELLA embodies the vitality, flow and resilience of the feminine spirit, and the artist’s desire to use the power of art to elevate, repair and nurture amid today’s global imbalance.
